Salem Witch Trials
Year 9/10 Elective History are currently studying a unit focusing on the Salem witch trials. Students recently participated in an escape room. There were multiple puzzles to solve in order to find the four digit code.
Students enjoyed working collaboratively through the clues to solve the puzzles. This was a fantastic educational opportunity to deepen our understanding of the events that took place during the Salem witch trials in 1692, as well as the people who were involved, and the parts they played in events that took place.
Medieval Europe
Year 8 History are learning about Medieval Europe this term. We have learnt about the feudal system and the roles of kings, nobles, knights and peasants. During the Middle Ages, noble families had family crests. These crests had their surname, emblem and often words or phrases to describe their family. Year 8 students have been very creative, developing their own unique family crests.
