100 Days of School!
You know what they say, time flies when you're having fun!! I cannot believe how quickly that time has gone! Gosh, they have all grown up so much and I am so proud of every one of them! Today we celebrated of our 100 days of school! Our Foundations came dressed up as a 100-year-old! I can't believe how quickly they aged overnight!!! We celebrated with a class party, 100 themed activities and challenges and of course a mini dance party! It is so great being able to celebrate all of the achievements that they have already made this year! And yes I was asked this week if, after the 100 days of school, we still come to school!! The answer is yes, we sure do!!! Here are some photos from today!
Maths
This week in maths we have been learning about equal groups and sharing things evenly! The Foundations enjoyed using hands-on materials to share things equally. It was great to see how well they picked it up!!
Religion
This week for religion, the Foundation students were investigating the Kingdom of Heaven. Here are some wonderful drawings they created.
Writing
This week for writing we have been focusing on how to write a sentence and adding describing words to our sentences to ake them more interesting. We decided to do a fun writing activity where we created scenes using felt characters and settings and wrote about what we created. Don't forget to have a closer look on See-Saw.
Puppet plays
This Term we are exploring Fairytale stories and one way that we do this is by looking at one Fairytale a week and retelling the story using puppets. Retelling stories is an excellent way to build text comprehension, sequencing of events and oral language. The kids absolutely love being the characters and using their different character voices to tell the story.
