Student Learning

When Mrs Belton first told us that we were going to see our buddies, the whole class was hyped knowing that not only were we going to see our little friends but we were going to see the new building as well. We also got to see if the rumours about its magnificent appearance really were true.

After finally getting used to the miraculous building we were standing on, we decided we better go inside and find out what our task was. Our task was to build a maze using a paper plate as the base and pipe cleaners or straws to build the walls of the maze. If we wanted, we could use paper for tunnels and we were also given a rainbow pom pom so we could use the maze.

After most of us were done building the maze, we were all gathered around so we could be near the teacher. The teacher told us that we were going to be doing a race by tilting the plate to guide the pom poms through the maze. She instructed the little buddies to give the mazes to the older buddies and before we knew it all the older buddies were standing up while listening carefully to the countdown. After we were finished with the race, we quickly sat down, and to be fair, we also gave the little buddies a turn. It really was an amaze-ing day!
