Upcoming dates for Year 3-6 ICAS

Well done to the students who participated in ICAS Writing and Digital Technologies this week!

Next week we have ICAS English being held on Monday 14th August. This ICAS will be coordinated by year level teachers during school hours.

Students who are participating in ICAS Science will be required to complete this competition sitting on Monday 21st August at 3:45-4:45 in the Year 6, Senior Learning Centre (as per previous communications). Please log into your personal parent payment account via ICAS to check which assessments you have enrolled your child/ren in; unfortunately, the school do not have access to your parent login details.

Please see the proposed sitting days for the six assessments below:

***Please note, these days have been determined around approved MVPS school events. Where approved MVPS sports ‘clash’ with in-school assessments, we will work with the PE team and classroom teachers to provide an alternate sitting session.

Technical requirements for ICAS:

Headphones:

Students are to bring their own headphones for the tests and/or connectable Roger device.

iPads and required app - Janison Replay:

Year 3 students will be provided with a school owned iPad on the morning of the ICAS assessment to use during this time. This will be fully prepared for them in advance.

Year 4-6 students will need to use their own iPads during the ICAS period. Please make sure that all iPads are charged the night before to avoid issues on the test day. In addition to this, Year 4-6 students who are completing the Writing and/or Spelling Bee will need to have installed the ‘Janison Replay’ app on their device BEFORE Wednesday 23rd August. Please note: We are unable to enrol any new students to the ICAS competition in 2023. The final registration date for ICAS enrolments was the 14th of July.
