Acting Principal's Message

Parent Opinion Survey

WE WANT OUR PARENTS/CAREGIVERS/GUARDIANS TO TELL US WHAT THEY THINK!

Our school is conducting a survey to find out what parents/caregivers/guardians think of our school. The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey is an annual survey offered by the Department of Education and Training that is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement. We encourage all families to participate in this survey. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

The Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey will be conducted from Monday 7th August to Friday 8th September. The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones.

The online survey will be available in a range of languages other than English. These include: Arabic, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, Chin (Hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek.

Please refer to the compass message '2023 Parent Opinion Survey ' for details that was sent on Monday 7th August.

Book Week

Book week is held every year to celebrate children's love of reading. This year's theme is 'read, grow and inspire'. We are encouraging all students to come to school on Friday 18th August dressed as their favourite book character. We will be celebrating with a book parade at assembly at 2:45pm. Prizes for best dressed will be awarded.

Assembly Awards

Last week at the senior school assembly, students were awarded certificates for being

'open minded'. This is one of our learner profile attributes. An OPEN MINDED student knows that all people are different. They listen to the points of view of others and consider many possibilities before making a decision. They celebrate the differences that make all people unique. It's terrific to see our students showing this wonderful attribute throughout their learning and engagement with their peers.
