Faith and Wellbeing Assistant Principal's Report

November Mass
In the month of November the Church has the wonderful tradition of remembering and praying for those who have gone before us. Last Thursday morning our regular 8.10am Mass was offered for the souls of all those in our community who have gone before us. It was great to see a good number of people come and make the extra effort to pray on this day. During the month of November the Memorial Book will remain in the Chapel and students and staff are invited to write down the names of family members and friends who have gone before us and we can as a community remember and pray for them.
Graduation Mass
The Year 12 Class of 2018 will celebrate their Graduation with the Mass at St Simon’s Parish Rowville at 6.00pm on Thursday 22 November 2018. This is a highlight of the year and is followed by the Graduation Dinner. We look forward to seeing all the students and their families at this Mass.
Friday 23 November 2018, Report Writing Day - Student Free Day
A reminder that Friday 23 November 2018 is a Report Writing Day for staff and there are no scheduled classes for students on this day.
2019 Retreat
The Year 12 Class of 2019 start their Year 12 with FastStart for the last two weeks of school year following their exams. The first two days of FastStart (26 and 27 November 2018) are an overnight Retreat where students have the opportunity to unite as a Year level group, enjoy some time away together, reflect on their leadership of the school in 2019, their goals for the year ahead and invite God into this big journey. It has been a highlight of the year in recent times and we look forward to sharing these days with the Year 12 Class of 2019. A reminder that the permission slips (which distributed last week) are now overdue and if they have not be returned need to be back at the College as soon as possible.
Mass of Thanksgiving, Friday 7 December 2018
Friday 7 December 2018 is the last day of classes for 2018. The year finishes with a Mass of Thanksgiving to God for all of the blessings of the year. The Mass is at 10.30am and all parents and families are most welcome to attend.
The Last Weeks of School
As we come to the last few weeks of school we will be reminding students over the next few weeks that all the expectations in regards to behaviour, work output, class work, uniform etc remain the same until the last day. It is our desire that students continue to utilise all of the learning opportunities offered until the very end of the year. Please support us with these expectations with your children.
