John XXIII College was excited to work with MercyCare and provide a live balcony concert to the residents at Mercy Village, creating an important sense of community during these uncertain times. Peter Luckas, Class 2018 Alumnus and Music Tutor at John XXIII College performed an afternoon of jazz allowing the residents to come together, while still observing social distancing.

ANZAC reflection

Students in homeroom took the opportunity to honour the country's servicemen and women and acknowledge the heritage of the ANZAC spirit, which incorporates courage, resilience discipline, good humour, initiative and mateship.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them."
