Canteen

Canteen Operating Hours

The canteen is open from 8:20am until 3:10pm Monday to Thursday and 8:20am to 2:00pm on Friday.  Students can purchase items before or after school and during scheduled breaks. Students are not permitted to purchase items (including water) during class time.

Scheduled Breaks

1st break: 11:00am to 11:30am

2nd break: 1:30pm to 2:00pm

Students can nominate if they would like their lunch order for first break when placing the order before school.

Lunch Orders

Manual orders can be taken over the counter before school and during first break.

Students are asked where possible to order their lunches before Mentor Group.  Lunch bags, pens and menus are available on the table near canteen.  Please remember to write your name and year and what break you would like your order on your lunch bag. 

Electronic orders through Qkr! App will be available this week. Information and instructions have been emailed to parents.  Electronic order CUT OFF time will be 9:30am daily.

Volunteers Needed

A great way to meet other parents, carers or your children’s teachers or friends is by experiencing a “day at McCarthy through the canteen”.  Our volunteers are in canteen from 10:00am to 2:00pm (or anywhere in between these hours), monthly or once a term.  With very few volunteers to assist this year, we will work with you to utilise the hours of service you can provide.  If you are interested in assisting us please contact Jenny Ayres   mcccanteen@arm.catholic.edu.au or 6761 0856.

Where: McCarthy Catholic College Canteen

When: weekly, fortnightly, monthly, once a term

Hours: flexible, preferably 10:00am to 2:00pm

Experience: Everything you need to know will be learnt within a short space of time.
