Prayer for Rain

God our Father, You created our earth to nourish us and give us life,

and Jesus told us to ask and it will be given to us.

We ask now in Faith, Hope and Love that You look with favour on our drought stricken land.

Our starving animals and failing produce.

Sustain, strengthen and give new heart to our farmers and all those affected by this drought.

In Your loving providence send abundant rain soon,

and renew the faith of Your people and the face of our land.

We make this prayer with many, through Jesus Christ who gives new life to all living things.

Amen.

Our Lady of the Rosary. Pray for us.

Ash Wednesday Liturgy

McCarthy will be hosting an Ash Wednesday Liturgy at 11:30am in the College Hall on Wednesday 6 March. This will include the distribution of ashes. I invite all parents/guardians to join us for this special occasion.

Lenten Group

Similarly, I invite all parents/guardians to attend McCarthy's Lenten Group commencing on Monday 11 March from 7:00pm - 8:30pm in the Meeting Room. This will run for 5 weeks. Please RSVP via email callen@arm.catholic.edu.au or place your name on the sheet at St Nicholas'.

Vinnies

The Vinnies committee will commence fundraising for the upcoming Vinnies Winter Appeal through Shrove Tuesday activities and the BBQ at the swimming carnival. Please support these efforts by our students for this worthy cause.

Condolences

Our thoughts and prayers are with Jekoya and J-Lee Nash and their family following the passing of their grandfather.
