New McCarthy Careers Webpage

This page is being added to the McCarthy College website in the next week and this will be a site for students and parents to access.  It is designed to cover a wide range of topics and provide information, advice, hints and tips on careers related matters to assist members of the McCarthy Catholic College community.  I hope you find it useful.

Guest speakers

McCarthy continues to arrange for visitors to come along to help students with everything from university applications to opportunities for School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships and employment. Representatives from the University of Wollongong, Charles Sturt University  and the University of New England have been available to our students in recent weeks.

On Friday of Week 5 there was a lunchtime workshop for Year 12 students with questions about UAC applications and SRS early entry schemes.

Year 12 students are advised to keep an eye on morning notices and emails in coming weeks with many deadlines and due dates occurring from now on as well as a range of opportunities. This week there are deadlines for early entry schemes from two universities with applications closing on 26 and 30 August.

Gap year jobs and full time apprenticeships are also being advertised.
