Music

On Sunday 12 August, the Tamworth Conservatorium of Music held their Winter Concert. A number of McCarthy students performed at this event, including Eoin Shepherd on the piano, Edmund Bourke on the guitar and James Austin on the drums. At this event the Conservatorium also presented their annual awards. Seven McCarthy students received awards, which was almost half of all the awards presented on the afternoon. At Assembly this week, we recognised our Year 12 band members and the contribution they have made to the Music program at McCarthy. We have six students who are completing Year 12 this year, they are Ryan Thompson (Band Captain), Augustine Mundele-Turner (Band Captain), Alana Noonan (Band Vice Captain), Kelsea Kerr (Band Vice Captain), Edmund Bourke and Edward George.

We thank these students very much and will miss them in our ensembles.
