Welcome to the Library 2022!

What an exciting start to the new year as we welcomed back all our students, new Year 7s AND an almost entirely new Library staff team (including myself)! My name is Tracey Scott and I am the new Head of Library and Teacher Librarian here at Killester. We also welcome two new fantastic Library Technicians, Joanna Wallace and Chrys Xindaras. We are also lucky enough to retain our Library dependable, Matthew Warburton.

It's been a hectic and exciting start to the new year. We have reintroduced MakerSpaces every Tuesday in the Library. The girls have been loving the “make and take” hands-on activities, as we created beaded bracelets and pop up cards ready for Valentine’s Day. We are continuing to offer our VCE students a quiet study day on Thursday lunchtimes, where the girls can concentrate solely on their important schoolwork. Have you noticed our new special guests on display (who doesn’t love Harry Potter)? Finally, we have noticed how many students love our chess sets this year, so we will be introducing a knockout chess tournament in the weeks ahead. Stay tuned!!!!
