St Mel's Child Safe Standards

Child Safe Commitment:

All students enrolled, and any child visiting St Mel’s, have a right to feel safe and be safe. The wellbeing of children in our care will always be our first priority and we have zero tolerance to child abuse. We aim to create a child safe and child friendly environment where children feel safe and are free to enjoy life to the full without any concern for their safety.  

 

Current COVID Child Safety Practises

Child Safety:

Sign in / sign out register - COVID 19 Restrictions Apply -  QR CODES & App - Face masks MUST be worn in enclosed areas.

As part of our commitment to keeping children safe, it is essential all visitors to the school scan in using the QR code & Service Victoria app to register as being on school premises. Please also have your vaccination certifcate with you for our records.  

No non-essential visitors are allowed on site at this time. 

The QR codes can be found on the door and gates. 

School Visitors numbers are being restricted in line with COVID 19 guidelines. This ensures we know exactly who is at school at any given time.  

Parents are not permitted to visit your child’s classroom. If a quick message needs to be passed on to your child or something needs to be dropped off, please do so at the office and our administration staff will pass this on.  The same process applies for children being picked up early or arriving late ~ please use the sign in / sign out register.
