Our New School values

Over the last few days you might of heard from your child that some of our school values have been changed.

Last year we embarked on reviewing our values with the staff, parents and students through a number of forums. As a school community we wanted to discover if our values still related to our school culture and if these values were what we want our students to demonstrate.

The forums were conducted online with staff and parents due to restrictions at the time. We collected some very valuable and interesting information that showed what our community valued. As we returned back to face to face teaching at the end of term 4, we were lucky enough to give our Foundation to Year 6 students a chance to reflect on our current values in small groups as well. During these sessions myself and Mel were impressed with the collaboration, respect and problem solving these students demonstrated in deciding on what they believed should be our school values.

In the classroom, students and teachers are continuing to explore these values through a variety of lessons and experiences. Keep an eye out for examples of their work on our values display board in the quadrangle in the coming weeks.

Here are our new school values.
