Staffing News

Ruby Harris will be leaving St Bede's at the end of the year. Ruby has taken up a position at Holy Spirit in North Ringwood ( very close to home) for 2023.  We wish Ruby all the best.

Chris Comand has informed me of her wish to retire at the end of the year.  Chris has worked in a full time / part time capacity at St Bede's for 18 years!!!  Next year might just see a lot of travel for Chris!!!

We will thank Chris and Ruby for their contributions  to St Bede's, as a community, later in the year.

Prep Orientation

The second of our Prep orientation sessions took place yesterday. It was  wonderful  to see the children enjoying their experiences at school.  There will bne two classes of Prep next year. A big thank you to the Yr 6 students who have assisted with the sessions so far. They have demonstrated what great leaders they are.

Yr 5/6 Excursion

On Monday our Yr 5/6 students attended the Replas Environment Centre in Carrum Downs. There was enormous learning that took place on the day and I know a lot of discussions have taken place in the  Yr 5/6 classrooms since Monday.

Pupil Free Day

Just a reminder that Monday October 31st is a Pupil Free day.  It is an assessment and reporting day for our staff.  Tuesday the 1st of November is a public holiday.

Peace Garden

The large tree that provided a lot of shade in the peace garden needed to be removed last Thursday due to the tree splitting and becoming dangerous ( part of it fell on Wednesday evening). We are currently looking at the appropriate tree to replace it.

State election

Our school/parish hall will be used as a polling booth for the state election. The PA have organised a sausage sizzle on the day.  Your assistance with the BBQ would be greatly appreciated.
