Art Projection Night

Finally, after many COVID interruptions, we were able to present our Art Projection Night on Friday 14 October. Parents, staff and students all came together and enjoyed an amazing night of friendship, and celebration of our student achievements.

Stalls provided sausages, fairy floss and cakes and the Shelford Parents’ Association hosted a bar for celebratory drinks for the adults. Magician Alex Unexplainable entertained children and parents alike with his wonderful talent and spellbinding surprises. While the fabulous Shelford Jazz Band had our feet tapping until the sun went down.

Then colourful patterns of student artworks filled the façade of Helenslea providing much enjoyment for all who viewed. This was a wonderful opportunity to see and enjoy the community of Shelford coming together.

Many thanks go out to all teachers, students and parents who assisted with the evening. It was a joyous occasion to celebrate our art students’ achievements from Prep to Year 11 during 2022.

Unit 3 and 4 folios

This year we had great pleasure in exhibiting our Unit 3 and 4 folios for Studio Arts and Visual Communication Design at the Art Projection Night. The folios demonstrate the hard work and great achievements of our VCE students for 2022.

In Studio Arts students displayed great accomplishment in the materials, techniques and process used in numerous mediums such as lino printing, silk screening, digital photography, textiles, oil, acrylic and gouache paint, sculpture, digital art, ink pen and pencil drawing.

Students also demonstrated creative ideas and outcomes for the Visual Communication Design works. Students achieved final presentations through hand free and technical drawing, computer manipulated artworks and three-dimensional designs.

The Art Department were very proud of the girls and their dedication to the perfection and technical ability demonstrated throughout the year.
