Principal Report

This week we saw our Grade 4 students head off to Phillip Island for our Grade 4 Camp. This is the first camp for our Grade 4 students as part of our camping program and we are starting to get back to a much more regular routine with our excursions and camps.

Our student leaders have done a tremendous job this year of leading at Oatlands PS. Our School Captains Tahlia and Cristian, along with our Vice Captains Zoe, Thenuje, Aadhira and Sabareshan have led by example and have done really well at every opportunity. Well done also to our other school leaders, who have official and unofficial roles, your leadership at Oatlands PS is very much appreciated.

On Friday 4th November we have our School Fete, which will start at 2.30pm. You will need to collect your child/ren from their classroom as students will not be allowed to leave their classroom without a parent signing them out. If you are unable to pick up your child at 2.30pm, please let your classroom teacher know in writing/email so arrangements can be made for teacher supervision until 3.30pm. If arrangements are made for another parent to pick up your child/ren you must notify the teacher in writing of these arrangements. After 3.30pm children still not collected by a parent will be sent to the Pirate Ship which will be available until 4.00pm. BASC will run normally from 3.30pm.

This will also be a FREE DRESS DAY.

We also have our Remembrance Day Ceremony and our School Production coming up over the next few weeks.

A reminder that Friday 28th (this Friday) and Monday 31st October are Curriculum Days and students will not attend school on these days. Tuesday 1st November is Melbourne Cup Day, which is a public holiday and there is no school on this day. We look forward to seeing all students returning on Wednesday 2nd November.
