Ringwood Training

WorldSkills Competitions being held at Ringwood Training

Engineering at Ringwood is currently conducting 4 Regional competitions for Worldskills in the fields of VETiS Metals & Engineering, Construction Steel & Sheetmetal. We currently have 14 Yr 10 & 11 VETiS Metals students at both Ringwood and Box Hill Senior secondary Campus competing for a place in the National Championships which will be held in Melbourne next year.

Earlier this week Ringwood Training successfully ran the Construction Steel competition with 7 Apprentices trying to win their way into the Nationals by making a model of a Construction Roller. Competitors were challenged in their skills of marking out, cutting accuracy and Fabrication & Welding. The VETiS competitors were challenged in their skills in marking out, lathe work & drilling tapping as well as their assembly skills.

Winners of the VETiS Competition will be announced at our Graduation Ceremony on the 16th of November.
