Advent Celebrations

The season of Advent begins this coming Sunday, 27th November.

The word Advent comes from the Latin "adventus", which means a coming, approach, or arrival. In the Church, it refers to the period encompassing the four Sundays prior to Christmas. It is a time of penance, of turning away from sin and hopeful, joyous preparation for the coming of the Savior.

The first Sunday of Advent gives us the opportunity to center our thoughts on hope.

It's a beautiful chance to remember the hope God offers to our lost and dying world, and that He's given us through Jesus.

Our Prep children will lead us in celebrating the first week of Advent next Monday morning, 28th November at 9:00 a.m. during our school assembly, which will take place in the hall. Please join us as we begin celebrating the season of Advent.
