School Fees
With the current economic climate causing significant financial stress for families it has been decided by the Tamworth Primary School Principals (St Joseph's, St Edward's and St Nicholas Primary Schools) that school fees for 2023 would remain at the current rate.
Annual school fees for St Joseph's in 2023 are therefore set at:
1 Child = $1,492.00
2 Children = $2,680.00
3 Children = $3,664.00
4 Children = $4,039.00
School fees for 2022 should be paid in full by Wednesday 30th November 2022.
Any family requiring assistance with school fees are encouraged to contact the office.
Presentation Night 2022
Presentation Night will be held on TUESDAY 13 DECEMBER at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre commencing at 7pm. It is an expectation that ALL students from Kinder to Year 6 attend. Students are to arrive at the TREC at 6:30pm and meet their teachers. Students are to wear their FULL SUMMER UNIFORM, black polished shoes and short navy socks. A reminder that all long hair is to be tied back, no dangly earrings, no polished nails or makeup is to be worn.
All Students will be bused to and from the TREC on Tuesday morning for a rehearsal and will return to school in time for lunch. A permission note will be sent out via Compass for parents to consent.
If your child is unable to attend Presentation Night please email the Principals, Mrs Holland and Mr O'Toole at sjtadmin@arm.catholic.edu.auas to why they will not be in attendance.
Fruit Break
Each Class has a daily morning fruit break. Children are encouraged to snack on fresh fruit or vegetables brought from home. Please make sure that this food is packed in easy to open packaging, and is washed, peeled or cut into manageable sized portions.
Wellbeing
When you wake up in the morning your body is hungry! You haven’t eaten for ages and your body has used up a lot of its energy stores just to get you through the night. Skipping breakfast can affect your concentration at school, and the way you eat for the rest of the day. If you skip brekkie you’re more likely to binge on less nutritious foods at your next meal or snack. Breakfast is great for your concentration.
Mobile Phones and Other Electronic Devices
At St Joseph's we acknowledge that parents may wish their child to carry a mobile phone for personal safety reasons however once students arrive at school they must hand in their mobile phone or other electronic device at the school office. Devices will be returned to students at the end of the day. All electronic devices that are brought to school are at the owner's risk. No liability will be accepted by the school in the event of loss, theft or damage of the phone.
Hair and Uniform Reminder
A reminder that patterns shaved into hair, dyed hair or 'rat's tails', 'horsey', undercuts or mullets are not permitted at school. Children with long hair should wear it tied up off their shoulders in a ponytail or braid and only school-coloured ribbons/bows are to be worn in the hair.
We remind parents that students must wear their school uniform as intended with the correct school socks, ties and black shoes. All students should either have the new navy school bag or the older blue one. Both nail polish and make up are also not permitted at school.
