F/1 News

Our 2023 Foundation students have continued to settle in with us on Friday mornings.

Last Friday, they joined the F/1 class for Walker Learning and Maths. The students loved colouring together in Walker Learning and talked about money in Maths.

The F/1 students have been showing great learning over the past two weeks. In Maths we have been learning about money. The students have been getting better at differentiating between a coin's size and its value.

We are still in the midst of F-2 testing. The students have been showing great progress in their literacy knowledge since the beginning of the year.

The students loved their trip to the zoo. We had a lot of fun exploring and seeing all the animals. Some of their favourite animals were the butterflies, gorillas, big cats and orangutans.

We had an amazing time at Melbourne Zoo, in spite of the weather! Grade 2 students were able to join the F-1 class to enjoy a “Wild Explorers” Education workshop. Grade 3 joined Grade 4 to learn about “Local Legends” through storytelling. We were treated to an amazing close up with the magnificent lions when they came right up to the glass during our workshop! The trip home was certainly quieter than the journey there, everybody was exhausted but we all agreed it was a wonderful day.
