Term 3 review

                                                                                       Year 7 Soccer team 

 

Interschool sport this term has involved a range of successful outcomes for students and teachers.

A very special thank-you to all students who have ‘tried out’, practiced and participated in school sport this term. The following is a list of sport teams who have either participated in, won the Whitehorse Division or progressed further to the Eastern Region Sports Program (EMR).

  • July 17 - Senior Girls Soccer

          The senior team and Mr Mangonis (Coach) went to Darebin Park for the EMR tournament 

  • July 30 -  Intermediate Basketball,  Intermediate Hockey,  Intermediate Table Tennis

The above mentioned teams went to the division competition and the Intermediate Girls Hockey Team are through to the finals which will be held at Malvern-Hawthorn Hockey Centre on Tuesday the 15 October. Congratulations to the team & to Ms Hobson.

  • August 2 - Year 7 Boys Soccer participated in the finals at Darebin Sports Centre – Well done to the boys & Mr Mangonis (Coach) 
  • August 5 - Intermediate Girls Soccer participated in the finals at Darebin Sports Centre – Well done to the girls & Mr Mangonis (Coach) 
  • August 8 - The Squash team ventured to MSAC for the State Squash Finals and won the award for the best performed school – Junior Girls, and the  junior (Yr 8) girls won the state title – congratulations to Sienna Telford, Chloe Popplewell, Kiera Singleton, & Catherine Jeong. The following girls were runners up in the same competition – Lola Dobie, Taneka Huber & Holly Macfarlane.  Well done to all participants and to Mr Dailey who coached the teams.
  • August 27 - Koonung students attended the Whitehorse Track & Field Competition at Tom Kelly  Aths Track and 20 competitors will be going to the EMR Track & Field Comp on 11th October – We wish them all the success for this competition.
  • September 10 - Year 7 boys & girls participated in Division Hockey, Basketball & Table Tennis. Congratulations to the Girls Basketball, Hockey & Table tennis teams who will go on and compete in EMR finals next term.
  • On the September 19 Year 8 Hockey, Basketball and Table Tennis will compete in the Whitehorse Division Competition.
