Term 3 Events
Term 3 is a huge term from the Careers perspective.
Year 10 students are deciding whether to undertake VCE or VCAL. They are also deciding which subjects they will study in 2019. Year 11 students will be firming up their options and subject choices for 2019. Year 12 students will be making big decisions about their pathways post Aitken; University, TAFE, an apprenticeship or other employment, a pre-apprenticeship, a gap year, joining the Defence Force, attending Bible College or ...... so many options!
Year 10 students attended the Careers Panel on Friday and heard from a group of Alumni about their experiences after leaving Aitken. A report of this event will be in the next newsletter.
The VCE Information Evening for students in Year 11 in 2019 has been held and the VCAL Information Evening will take place on Monday 23 July.
The VTAC Student and Parent Information Evening will take place on Monday 13 August – this is a MUST ATTEND event, especially for Year 12 students planning to make a VTAC application.
Do not forget University and TAFE Open Days are about to commence. All Brookhill students will have a calendar of Open Days emailed to them, along with some Tips on how to get the most out of Open Days.
As so much is happening, it is even more important to stay up to date and well informed, and one of the best ways to do that is to read the fortnightly Career News.
