Year 2
What a great time we've had in Year 2 this term. Lots of wonderful and exciting learning has taken place about pets, feeding the family, materials, as well as partcipating in a lot of interesting Maths activities.
We would like to congratulate the students on their enthusiasm this term and to wish you all a happy and safe break.
Term 3 Reminders
A few reminders for the first few weeks of Term 3:
Monday, the 22nd of July- Pupil Free Day
Thursday, the 25th of July- Athletics Carnival
Friday, the 26th of July- Grandparent's Day
Teddy Bear's Picnic
On Friday, the 29th of June, Year 2 celebrated their learning in History with a Teddy Bear's Picnic. Everyone had lots of fun!
NAIDOC Week
This week, Year 2 have been learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders with a focus on Bush Tucker. We have been learning what traditional bush tucker is in different regions and what they can be used for.
Zero Waste Week
This week, we have been looking at ways that we can reduce the amount of waste that we produce. We have been given bins to sort our waste into recycling, compost and Return and Earn. Year 2 will be taking home plastic materials that can not be recycled.
