A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL LYMAN

Dear BAMS Families,

We are now more than a quarter of the way through the school year and we are happy about the progress our students are making. Many of you were able to make it in for parent-teacher conferences over the past few weeks. If you have been unable to make it, please do call and we will try to work something out with you.

The Fall season recently wrapped up with the final games and team parties after school. I would like to thank all of you for providing transportation, supporting your child, school, and team. The students worked very hard and the physical skills, combined with learning key components of being a good teammate, time management, healthy eating, and the countless other benefits of being on a team are a reason we support our athletic programs. We look forward to beginning the winter season on December 2nd.

Our band and chorus programs recently had their fall concert. I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the musical performances and I'm proud of our students. Being a musician requires many of the same work habits and students acquire many of the same skills as athletes. Many of our students do both! The musicians are under great leadership from Elyse Wadsworth and Tom Nasiatka. Thank you to those of you who attended the concert.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving break. I hope you enjoy time with your family and that students can recharge over the well-deserved break.

Sincerely,

Keith Lyman — principal

The BAMS Social Contract

As a student body, we have created a social contract together because we all agree we should all display the same common behaviors. Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Work Hard, Have Empathy for Others. All students will be signing the contract in the coming days. Our Student Leadership students under the guidance of Chris Brewer and Stephanie Pike are to be commended for their effort to make this happen.
