Building Learning Power – Growth Mindset Parent Information Seminar Update
At Hampton Park Secondary College, we are committed to creating an environment where students, parents and carers, teachers and our community feel connected and engaged with our high performing teaching and learning.
All parents and carers were invited to a seminar led by Success Coach Darren Pereira from Success Integrated on February 5th in our CRC. The purpose of the seminar was to help our community understand how they can best support strong learning at home by using a common language to build resilient, high performing students.
The focus of the evening was:
- Growth Mindset and how can I best to motivate and support my child to succeed and excel?
- How can I provide the healthiest environment for my student to learn at their best?
As you can see from the photos, the evening was extremely well supported by parents, carers, students, and teachers, with over 150 parents and carers attending! Thank you to our student leaders for looking after the large number of children in attendance, and to our Multicultural Education Assistants who provided a wide range of language assistance to our diverse parent community.
