Year 9 Journalism Class

CFA Juniors

Our names are Dakota Scott and Isabelle Adam-Wallace. We are 14 and 15 and both are in CFA Juniors with the Irrewarra Fire Brigade.  We  joined up with the CFA, because we both enjoy helping others, it  seemed  like a very interesting thing to do and we wanted to meet new, like-minded people. 

 

CFA Juniors is a volunteer program which involves running drills where we  learn how  to connect and disconnect fire hoses. Training lasts for about two hours, every Sunday at 1pm and occasional Mondays. There are two groups  an  11-13 year   age  group, as well as a bigger kids’ group of  14-16 year olds.  A few times a year, competitions are  run involving  other CFA Junior teams from local and statewide teams. 

 

We currently  require two more people for the older group (aged 14  to 16), so if anyone is interested in  joining a really worthwhile group, which offers many benefits,  please have a look at:
