PFA refreshments at Junior School Production – thank you! 

A big thank you to everyone who assisted with the hospitality at the Junior School Production of Moana Jr. It’s great that we can offer this service and facilitate families catching up prior to the performance. A special thank you to our volunteers who made this event possible: Rachel Baker, Kim Johnston, Serena Lane and Georgie Ward.  

Centenary Gala Night – PFA sponsorship 

The PFA was delighted to support the Centenary Gala by sponsoring this memorable event. We are all about bringing our wider community together, building connections, and creating long-lasting memories together. And boy did it tick all those boxes! 

The PFA is looking forward to enabling more events in the future! 

2024 PFA Roles 

As 2023 is coming to an end, the PFA is in full swing planning for 2024. In readiness for a cracker of a year, we've opened up our 2024 roles. 

We’ve had so many new faces pop up at these events to volunteer in 2023, however we are always excited to see new ones. 

We invite you all to have a squiz as there are many small roles that require just one day within the entire year to fulfill, for example the Senior School Athletics BBQ Coordinator. 

There is no limit to the number of people who can volunteer for a role. In fact, we encourage more than one representative to share tasks and to have fun together.  

There's a huge variety of roles with a lot of flexibility, and all time and knowledge volunteered is very much appreciated.

Warm welcome to our new treasurers 

The PFA would like to announce and welcome our TWO new treasurers, Jenny Wu and Ray Becher, who've both recently been appointed to succeed Annaliese Allen.  

Jenny joined the Kilvington community in 2022, and has a daughter in four-year-old ELC. Ray is new to Kilvington and joined this year with a son in Year 7. A massive welcome to both; the PFA is absolutely thrilled to have you on the Executive PFA team. 

Lastly, a big thanks to Annaliese for her meticulous work throughout 2023 and her fabulous handover to both Jenny and Ray. We’re very grateful for the insight and skill Annaliese brought to the role and for ensuring a successful handover. 

PFA General Meeting - AGM & Thank You Night (Save the Date) 

Thanks to all who attended the PFA meeting this week.   

Our final meeting for 2023 will be our up-and-coming AGM on 21 November. Please join us at 7.00pm in the Sport Centre for a meeting that will start with a toast. Reports will then be tabled and the roles for 2024 will be awarded. All Kilvington families are members of the PFA and everyone is welcome to share the celebration. 

At 7.30pm, a Volunteer Thank You event will be hosted by the School to thank our community for the enormous amount of time and effort given through volunteering, no matter how small or big.

We greatly appreciate all efforts made to support the School, so if you've volunteered your time and expertise in any way during 2023, we warmly invite you to join us on the night. This includes all those who volunteered at or donated to the Centenary Fair and Open Day, Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls and breakfasts, Thank You Morning Teas, sausage sizzles at Welcome Evenings, or Senior School Athletics – the list goes on.

Secondhand Uniform Shop (SHUS) 

Our next SHUS is scheduled for Saturday 11 November from 9.00 to 11.00am in Dalton Hall.  

This is the second last SHUS for 2023. So don’t leave the summer growth spurt to the last minute. Be ready for 2024! 

The team will be accepting items for consignment. All items need to be in excellent condition and freshly cleaned. Blazers, tunics, skirts and pants should be dry-cleaned please.  

As always, thank you to Briohny Marshall and the SHUS volunteers for providing this great service for our students.

PFA World Teachers’ Day - Staff Thank You Morning Tea 

Friday 27 October is World Teachers’ Day in Victoria. The PFA would like to take this opportunity to thank the KGS staff for a fabulous 2023 by hosting a final morning tea for all staff.  

We invite all families to contribute to the morning tea by providing a plate of food for the staff to enjoy. Some suggestions include cupcakes, cookies, cones, pastries, a fruit platter, chocolates, or even a little savoury treat such as finger sandwiches. 

Please indicate dietary restrictions, such as if your food is gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free etc, and please remember, no nuts.  

Food deliveries we be welcomed at Main Reception from 8.00am on the day, and all reusable and named containers, platters, plates, and stands will be available for collection from Main Reception from 2.00pm.
