Speeches

The Year 5 and 6 Learning Community have been learning about persuasive texts. As part of their preparation for participating in debates, the students wrote persuasive speeches about different topics. They needed to consider:

• Topic and Audience
• The stance they were taking
• Main ideas and supporting evidence
• How they will leave your audience with a call to action or something to make them think further about. 

Some students have kindly shared their speeches with us.

Home Readers

As we are nearing the end of the year, home readers will no longer be sent home after this Friday. We ask that you please return all home readers to school. This will assist us in preparing for 2023.
