Student Wellbeing

Class Lists:

2023 Class Lists have been completed. Every year this takes a number of meetings to balance our classes to provide the best learning environment possible. Again this year, we opted to promote our student resilience by not focussing on ensuring each student had a chosen friend in their 2023. We have so many wonderful students at Holy Spirit, and are beyond confident that each one of our students has multiple opportunities to build on either known friendships or form new ones.

Handover

As an addition to the Learning and Teaching page information, the teacher handover meetings included sharing information and recommendations for our student's social and emotional needs. These recommendations allowed our teachers to prepare certain tasks and activities to best support our students transitioning to their new class.

Student Wellbeing Data:

Students from Grade 1-6 have completed another Student Wellbeing survey. We are proud to see a further drop in Anxiety, Emotional Regulation and Social challenges across our school. An area of opportunity is in Student Engagement which will be a large focus in planning for 2023. This data has been unpacked during our Data Days this week with each level analysing student wellbeing data and any student's we would consider at need of support.

Transition:

Please see the Learning and Teaching page regarding information on transition sessions for our students to move up to their new classes.
