Music Competition

Last week our theme of "Summer" was guessed by a few students.  Drawn out of a hat from the correct guesses was Khobi from 5/6B.  Wednesdays the students are still enjoying the weekly dance off after their lunchtime break. Lots of amazing moves on show along with laughter and smiles.

Class 5/6 with Mel

In Grade 5/6 students have been busy learning about Animal Adaptations.

Students read and engaged with the book ‘Feathers’, where they were able to pick out excellent vocabulary. We then chose a bird that we connected with and wrote about it using a Free Verse writing style.

For our Exhibition Night, students had created a ‘made up’ creature that had different physical, behavioural, and physiological features. They wrote in detail about their creature and how it would be interpreted in the wild. Students then used paper mache to create a 3D sculpture of their creatures. Students have thoroughly enjoyed this topic and have learnt the ins and outs of many animals.
