Another week done and dusted! On Thursday we had our cross country, thank you to all who participated and congratulations to Tenison on winning! Next week we have girls’ netball and boys’ football, good luck to all teams and remember to represent the College with pride. Lastly, Sunday is Mother’s Day we would like to wish all the Mothers in the College a very Happy Mother’s day, may this special day provide lots of love, laughter and celebration.

Thank you, and remember to be eager in your desires but patient in their accomplishments.

IDAHOBIT Day

May 17th is IDAHOBIT Day, International Day Against Homophobia Biphobia and Transphobia. This is a day where we support and acknowledge the discrimination as well as the difficulties the LGBTQIA+ community has to face on a daily basis. To this day people are being killed, bullied, imprisoned and more just because of their identity and sexuality.

As a Catholic school, we are guided by God to love everyone no matter what and respect each other, and keep each other safe. We have a duty to put our bias aside and help this community.

Justice Captains: Elizabeth Stefan, Hannah Cole, Sage Anderson, Martha Dunneman and Grace Burns will be selling cupcakes on May 17th at lunchtime to raise money for the non-profit organisation MINUS18+, which supports the LGBTQIA+ community through donations, events as well as education. All the proceeds we make will go towards supporting LGBTQIA+ youth in Australia with projects which include homelessness, education, protection, and support.
