Upcoming events: Book now to avoid disappointment
The PHSC Music Department are gearing up for our huge 2023 performance schedule. Students in our music program are provided the opportunity to perform in at least two concerts per year. We engage with local live music venues regularly to offer our students real-life industry experiences. Students assist with the organisation, set up, and performance of these events. The Classroom music program will be showcased at both the VCE and Middle School Music Nights. The instrumental music program will be showcased more broadly, across all year levels, at both "Plugged" and "Unplugged" Music Nights, where all PHSC ensembles will perform.
We welcome all family and friends of the PHSC Community to attend our local music events. Upcoming performances include:
May 31st: VCE Music Night at the Transit Lounge (Transport Hotel, Fed Square)
June 7th: Middle School Music Night at the Bergy Bandroom (NEW by the Bergy Seltzer, Sydney Road)
Tickets available at door.
June 13th: "Plugged" Music Night at the Brunswick Ballroom Contemporary Ensembles including Planet Seven, Planet EightyNine, CJE, Used Car Horns, Stage Band, Soul Band, Latin Band, Vocal Group, Rhapsody and Contemporary Choir.
June 21st: "Unplugged" Music Night at the Collingwood Town Hall (Traditional Ensembles) including Orchestra, Arnold Street, Strung Out, String Collective, Junior Guitar Ensemble, Senior Guitar Ensemble, Junior Choir and Senior Choir.
Entry is ticketed to cover costs of venue & transport hire. Any remaining funds will be used to fund future PHSC music events and instrument repairs. We thank Yarra City Council as a major sponsor of our 'Unplugged' Music Night at the Collingwood Town Hall.
