Principal's Report

Simone Wood, Principal

Hi Everyone,

We have had a very busy past 2 weeks! With the whole school excursion to the Ecotherapy Park and Anderson's Road, Planting day, Soccer, Mother's Day High tea, GRIP Leadership conference, Eurovision and School Photos.

Last week the Star Weekly came out to do an article on our school. Originally they had heard about our Federal government grant  for our outdoor shade-space furnishings but once they heard about our school and what we do in sustainability, they wanted to know more. If you haven't seen it, our Sustainability team were on the front page for the Star Weekly Education week edition!

Star Weekly front cover for NPS!

There are also articles throughout this newsletter on the other events that we have had over the past 2 weeks.

Coming up there is Winter Sports and our whole school trip to Werribee Zoo. Camp has been confirmed and information will be going out soon in preparation.

I would also like to congratulate our students on their co-operation and dedication to the task when representing our school. Knowing how concerned our sports association was about player behaviour, Newham Primary School students stepped up and demonstrated HOW a school can interact with volunteers and students from other schools.

Well done everyone!
