Student engagement excursion

In the last week of Term 1 our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, their chosen guests and our Inclusion group travelled to Ikon Park for a visit to the Carlton Football Club as part of a student engagement excursion. The group watched the team complete a training session, met and had lunch alongside the players and enjoyed a kick on their indoor training turf. The students heard from star player Zac Williams on the importance of completing their education, resilience and his path into the AFL. The students were able to get photos and autographs from many of the players and represented Gisborne Secondary College with pride.
