House Cross Country
Despite a gloomy weather forecast, we had perfect weather for Year 3 to 6 House Cross Country last Friday. All our Year 3 to 6 students tried their very best when completing their circuits in beautiful Landcox Park. Thank you to all the teachers and parents involved in supporting this event. A special thank you to Rebecca Habersberger and Tammy Goldwasser for stepping in so brilliantly to assist with First Aid. Congratulations and thank you to Kirsten Travis for her thorough organisation and enthusiasm for ensuring the Cross Country was a great success. Finally, a big congratulations to Landcox House for winning the overall event!
Appreciation Stall
Thank you and well done to the PFA for their work in organising the Appreciation Stall. The students enjoyed the opportunity to ‘shop’ and select a gift for a special person or people in their lives.
Walkathon
Pleasingly, fine weather is forecast for our Walkathon this Thursday. Children are to wear their uniform as usual but should wear comfortable shoes and bring a jacket. All money raised will go towards the building of a COLA (large shade structure) at the Junior Campus. Please join us if you can at Landcox Park as the children complete their laps. We will be leaving school around 9.10am and returning at approximately 10.30am.
Sporting Success
Congratulations to Ned in 6D for being selected to play cricket for School Sport Victoria. Ned attended two trials during Term 1, the first was a regional trial where Ned was identified within the top 50 cricketers in the region. This enabled him to progress to a State trial in Bendigo where the final selection process looked at a range of skills. Ned impressed the selectors with his skills and up and coming talent and will now represent Victoria in a national carnival in Darwin later this term. Well done Ned on your sporting achievements, we are all very proud of you and wish you well in the national tournament.
