ride to school safety survey

We love kids riding to school for many reasons: it is an active form of transportation, it is sustainable and it reduces traffic around the school! But we know there are a few reasons why families choose not to ride: safety, time, available bikes and more. Tim Read, our local Member, is interested in understanding the safety reasons why families avoid riding to school, to inform discussions and decisions about our local area. If you have something to say and are interested in sharing your thoughts with Tim, you can find his survey here.

capital works update

This week I have spent a lot of time catching up on what I have missed out on over the past term and a half. The Capital Works project has certainly not lost much momentum and has made significant and significant progress in my absence! Unfortunately, due to COVID-restrictions, we have not been able to start building by the planned date, but our architects and builders are waiting in the wings to get going. Pleasingly, our drafted plans have come in ‘under budget’ which allows for us to include additional projects around the school. We are in the early stages of developing these ideas, so keep an eye out for updates in the newsletter about further developments to our Capital Works project, as well as impacts and considerations for our school community, as the build begins.
