Prep 1/AN – Remote Learning

This week has seen the return of remote learning. This is familiar territory for most Grade 1s but has been very new to most Preps. In the mornings, we try to start our day as close as possible to our regular morning routine. We all log on to Google Meets to have a catch up with each other. We start by making the Sign of the Cross and saying our morning prayer. After that we wake our bodies up by singing and dancing to the Days of the Week song! We take the roll and have a look at our timetable for the day. Each day has followed the same routine, starting with SMART spelling, writing, reading and Maths, which are all released on Seesaw. After that, we take some time to share a piece of news with our friends or play the game ‘What’s different?’. This is where someone turns of their camera and changes something about their appearance and the rest of the class has to guess what’s different. This has been a real hit with Prep/1 AN! Throughout the day, we have had daily reading groups with our fantastic LSO’s Mr. Gahan and Ms. Steph! We have also had specialist activities such as Science, Art, PE and Mandarin. The Prep/1s have all done amazingly so far with their remote learning!!
