David's Message

Sail into a universe of possibilities...

Collaboration

What a week! From remote learning, back to face-to-face learning, the faces of our children as they eagerly arrived back at school today were worth waiting for. We have truly appreciated the support you have been providing to our students with their remote learning, as well as cooperating with us on the many changes to the restrictions as they have happened.

Walking through the grade levels today and welcoming the children back, I chatted to them about the good things and not so good things about remote learning. They shared some great stories of things they have done, including working through their book collections and spending time together as a family. For myself, I have loved seeing the ingenuity of our students as they built houses in the construction area during the remote learning period. It has also been lovely to see the learning appear on SeeSaw and the comments, both feedback and joyful reflection, that have appeared on the SeeSaw timeline.

As you may be aware, student reports will now come out on the final day of this term and parent teacher interviews will take place on Tuesday 13th July in Term 3. We will get the booking system up for these next week; at this stage we are not sure whether we will be allowed to hold these face-to-face or via Webex, but we will keep you informed of changes to the restrictions and are hoping for face-to-face interviews at this stage.
