CHILD SAFETY

To create and maintain a child safe organisation, all Victorian schools must comply with Ministerial Order No. 870 - Child Safe Standards, which came into effect 1 August 2016. 

In order to do this, we have developed and implemented a range of strategies to comply with all seven Child Safe Standards. We consider it vital that, as part of establishing a Child Safe environment (and culture) for our students, we provide information and training to all of our staff and school council members each year. 

Volunteers

We are fortunate to have volunteers supporting many of our programs and activities. We ask all visitors and volunteers to abide by our Code of Conduct, which outlines our expectations for adult behaviour around the students and to hold a current ‘Working With Children Check’ card. A working with children check card lasts for 5 years and no payment is required for volunteers.
