Aerobics 

Regional Aerobics competition 

On Sunday 2 May the Aerobics Squad attended the Regional Aerobics Competition. This was our first face-to-face competition since 2019 and we have been working hard since term 4 last year in preparation! The results achieved were some of the best we have ever seen and we are all very excited for the State Championships which will be held June 5 in Geelong. 

Here is a summary with the full results. 

In the Audition Challenge we had three year 12 students participating. The results were Hannah Walker - 1st, Kasey Cutler -2nd and India Jones - 4th. They all qualified for the State Championships.

In the Orange Singles we had Grace Ash (Year 7), who came 4th in her division and also qualified through to the State Championships.

In Stage One, we have three teams who are going through to compete in the State Championships, Eve’s Angels, who came2nd, Super Troopers who came 4th and the Sapphires who came 5th. Oceans Ten will have the opportunity to attend the Winter Cyber Challenge coming up in July. 

Congratulations to our Year 12 Team, Salt n Pepa, who came 1st in Stage Two’s division and will be attending the State Championships. They are the first year 12 team in MGSC history to achieve a win! Joining them in this division and to the State Championships is the Dynamite who came 2nd.

The Stage Three MJ’s came 2nd and are going through to the State Championships.

In the Stage Three Singles we had two year 9 students competing, Alex Turner who came 2nd, and Lauren McNabb who came 8th. Both have made it through to the State Championships.

In the Old Skool Aerobics section, we had Redemption who came 1st! They will be attending the States Championships. 

In Secondary Aerobics, we had The Noughties, who came 2nd and will be going to the State Championships.

In Blue Singles, we have Tara Ash (Year 9) who came 3rd and will be competing in the State championships.
