Our annual House Performance Competition at the end of April displayed the enormous talent we have at MGSC across music, dance and drama.

 

A huge congratulations to all students who participated, and in particular those who were chosen to represent their houses as soloists or small groups.

 

The winners of each section were:

Ana Mitsikas and Stage Left 

Our adjudicator, Ana Mitsikas, was highly impressed with the calibre of our students. Ana came to us from Stage Left Performing Arts School one of Melbourne’s leading performing arts schools. Run by industry professionals students study acting, singing and dancing all under the one roof. It aims to provide quality training with the emphasis on individuality, imagination and creativity. Past students have appeared in professional productions such as ‘School of Rock’, ‘Muriel’s Wedding’ and ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.’

 

Programs run by Stage Left include weekly ‘act, dance, sing’ classes for 4-16 year olds, private singing tuition and holiday theatre workshops where students aged 8-16 work with a director, musical director and choreographer to put on a show in just five days. Venues include Hampton, Malvern East, Camberwell and Rowville.
