SPECIALIST DAY 2021

What a fantastic day we had on Thursday 20th May for Specialist day, with our theme of the Olympic Games. It was so lovely to see so many smiling faces and all the children from Foundation to Year 6 working together through all the activities. Kaboom Kids were fantastic in leading us in the incurison and the children had lots of positive feedback about the day. The giant inflatable dartboard with the tennis balls was a favourite.

Congratulations to all the children representing South Africa in the Kaboom games who received a gold medal. The children participated in rotation activities in class for Italian, Digital Technology, Music, Visual Arts and Wellbeing. Thanks to all the children for the way they participated in the day.

The children were very lucky to have a delicious Pizza lunch which was organised by the Parents and Friends. A big thank you to the parents who came and served the pizza to all the children. The teachers really appreciated eating pizza too.

It was lovely to see some of our Foundation parents attending assembly. We can hopefully see more parents attending school assemblies in the future. The choir also performed beautifully at assembly singing Pink’s song “Cover me in Sunshine” lead by Kristy.

Thanks again to everyone for a wonderful effort by all.

LS3 Seniors Excursion

Last Friday the 14th of May, our seniors from LS3 went on an Excursion to Myuna Farm as part of their inquiry unit on survival.

While on the excursion, the students learnt all about:

- the biodiversity of wetlands.

- how to plant vegetables

- what a successful and healthy veggie garden looks like

- what pollution is doing to our environment

And lots more!

They all had so much fun exploring the farm. We are so excited to use our new learning to help us discover more about the survival of plants and animals and what we can do to help!
