Year 7 Visual Arts

Year 7 Visual Arts students spent a double period exploring experimental printmaking.

Students have been exploring Indigenous art and comparing the bird's-eye-view of some works with the use of perspective techniques in non-Indigenous or 'Western' art.

During remote learning, students created a 'mud map' of their house yard, representing buildings and features with shapes and lines from a bird's-eye-view. Today they translated these drawings into prints, building up layers and representing their home within a 'Western' perspective of the Australian landscape by overlaying their monoprint images onto old book pages.
