Semester One Reports

The Leadership Team is currently reading and editing student reports before they go out to parents. Your child's report will become available to you through the Compass Portal in Week 10. In Week 2 and 3 parent and teacher interviews will be held to provide parents with the opportunity to discuss the report with teachers and to set goals for the remainder of the year.

The students will be graded on their knowledge and skills in each subject area as Working Beyond Expected Level of Achievement; Working At Expected Level of Achievement and Working Towards Expected Level of Achievement. An explanation of these grades is contained at the beginning of the student report. There will also be a level of Student Engagement for each subject area from Consistently to Rarely.

At this time of the year,  when results and reports are coming up and it is a good idea for students to reflect on their approach to school and their work. Every student may not achieve the highest marks or grades in the class, but every student can achieve the best marks they are capable of, their own personal best. By focusing more on improving learning, and gaining deeper understanding, rather than just on marks, students often find their results improve significantly. The effort box on a report is just as important as the grade your child receives.

Please take the time to also read carefully the teacher's comments as these provide an insight into the areas where your child is doing well, may need to improve and or a goal for them moving forward into Semester 2.
