Hello Everyone,

It is that time of year again where we will be looking at some special books chosen by the Children’s Book Council of Australia. 

 We have decided to focus on the Early Childhood, Picture Books, and Younger Readers categories.  There is a wide variety which will appeal to our many readers.  The 

St Bridget’s children will vote on their favourite book in each category and see if they chose the same book as those that actually win.  The Children’s Book Council of Australia will announce the winners in each category on the 20th of August.

Please keep this date in your calendar Tuesday 24th August.  We will start the day with our Book Week Parade at 9am.  The children can come dressed as someone or something from the different worlds or as their favourite book character.  In the afternoon we will finish the day off with ‘Curl Up with a Book’ and some fun Book Week activities.
