It is disappointing that we find ourselves back in lockdown again! Each time however, I'm incredibly proud of how our students adapt to remote learning and then quickly adjust to coming back to school, particularly when we are expected to move in and out of lockdown so frequently. Let's hope this lockdown isn't a long one and that it isn't extended. These can be challenging times for all of us, so please try to stay connected to us through our newsletters and social media and reach out if you are in need of support.

Prior to going into lockdown, we started up a Lunchtime Club in the Library. The students have the option of reading, playing Lego or chess. This resulted from feedback from some of our parents as well as through our SRC (Student Repsentative Council). This club is in addition to our exisiting lunchtime activities such as our Skipping Club with Ms. Durrant which occurs four times a week, our Wednesday Chess Club and our Friday Tennis lessons. These activities provide a range of options for our students during break times, as well as the opportunity to socialise with children from across the school, who they may not normally socialise with. It is pleasing to see that we respond quickly when feedback is received. It shows that we listen and that we value the voice of our students and community.

Also, after coming out of the previous lockdown, Harry in SLC, celebrated his Sacrament of First Eucharist on Sunday 1 August. We were lucky to get it in, after it had been postponed due to our last lockdown and before going into this lockdown. This now means Harry will be able to make his Sacrament of Confirmation with his fellow classmates. Congratulations Harry!

Please stay safe and well and hopefully we'll be back at school soon.

Kind regards
