Year 3-10 Athletics Carnival

The Year 3-6 School Athletics Carnival will now be held on the school back oval. It will be on Thursday 29 June   starting at approx. 9:15am. Unfortunately, due to the new Covid-19 restrictions families are not permitted to attend. Students are to compete in age groups – 8\9 years, 10 years, 11 years & 12 years. Track events include 800m, 200m, 100m & house relays. Most ages will also compete in some novelty events where time permits and do not clash with races. Events will begin with the 800m followed by the other events. Students are to wear their full school sports uniform, but may wear house colour T-shirts on the day (Johns – yellow, Marks – red, Pauls – blue, Leos – Green). Children should bring their hat, sunscreen and water bottle. If your child suffers from asthma they should bring their own Ventolin. A canteen will be available on the day.

Gala Day

The annual Gala Day that was down for this term has now been postponed to next term. It will be a combined netball, soccer and touch carnival to be held in Inverell.

Diocesan Athletics carnival

The annual Diocesan Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 13 August in Tamworth. Eligible students must meet Diocesan qualifying distances and heights and only the top 2 students from each school can be entered in field events. Age groups for this carnival are Juniors (8,9,10yrs), 11yrs and Opens (12, 13yrs). The only variation to this is for 100m age races. Students who qualify for events will receive notes early next week and need to return the permission slip and money to the front office by Monday 9 August otherwise students will not be entered into events. As this event is classed as an inter-school event with schools from different local government areas one spectator per competitor may attend. All Diocesan events will now be ticketed and competitors will be limited to two tickets, one for a competitor and one for a spectator. This is to ensure that one person per two square metres restriction is adhered to. If your child is unable to attend the carnival, please let Mrs Dal Santo know ASAP, especially if they are in a relay. Students will need to get their own way to Tamworth and
