Year 1/2 News

Welcome to Term 3

This term, the Year 1/2 students will be 'stepping back in time' and learning about history. We will be focusing on the students' personal stories and family history as well as the history of their local area.

The students thoroughly enjoyed investigating in the new areas last week. We know that the students are itching to get back to school for many reasons with Investigations being high on the list. Below are photos of some of our new areas for this term.

Library

Our library has recently had an upgrade with cozy reading nooks, new library shelving and comfy reading tables and stools. Every week each homeroom spends quality time borrowing new books and immersing ourselves in reading. Students are encouraged to browse the library for books they are interested in and to engage in shared and independent reading. This Term's new library borrowing days are as follows:

Mondays - 1/2C and 1/2JM
Fridays - 1/2B and 1/2P

Please ensure your child brings their library borrowing bag on their correct day with books to return. We encourage all students to be borrowing every week.
