Grade 2 Art: Textiles
Alice in Wonderland Soft Sculptures
The students studied paintings by Australian artist Charles Blackman, who created 46 artworks inspired by the story of Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. Selecting a character from the story, the students illustrated this onto calico fabric, painted their design and hand stitched decorative details to create beautiful soft toys. Well done on these fabulous creations!

Woven Wall Hangings
Grade 2 students have spent many lessons patiently learning weaving techniques to weave patterns onto looms to create lovely wall hangings. Decorations such as pom poms and braids were added at the end.
